Kristy and Colby’s Wedding

             Since Colby and I were engaged July 4, 2008 we have been looking forward to celebrating our wedding with our family and friends. We will  officially be getting married on July 11, 2010 at the Harding Allen Estate in Barre, Ma. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the reception following.  The BBQ is On!

      We have officially found a place and will be organizing a BBQ on July 10th. Please come join us if you are staying in the area or would like to enjoy more of the weekend with us. We have booked a place called the Snowbound Club located at 130 Old Baldwinville Road in Winchendon, Ma. This is a location close to both the Colonial Hotel and not too far from the estate. The BBQ will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be volleyball, horseshoes, kayaking and possibly even more activities available. We hope to see you there!

Hotel Accommodations

              We have reserved ten rooms at the Colonial Hotel for Saturday (July 10)  and Sunday (July 11th) at the rate of $129.95 per night. If you are planning on staying Saturday night I highly reccomend that you book the room soon. There are other weddings at this location and, therefore, we are only able to hold  ten rooms . The hotel will only be holding a block of rooms until June 10th after that the rooms will be open to the public. If you do plan on staying there please let us know so I can look into transportation options for everyone. You can book the rooms at www.colonial-hotel.com or by calling this toll free number 1-888-214-4991. You will need to call and request the Marsh/Streeter block of wedding rooms to get the rate listed above.  This hotel is about 30 minutes from the estate and where we will be staying.

          Another closer option is to stay at a local bed and breakfast. The biggest one close by is Winterwood in Petersham, Ma. They have six rooms and one two bedroom suite. They charge $149 for the rooms and $199 for the two bedroom suite.  I was unable to hold any rooms at this location so again if you are thinking about staying I would reserve a room soon. Camping

For the hardier folks that would like to camp out we would like to recommend Otter River State Forest. It is located in Baldwinville, Ma. Campsites, a beach, and even Yurt tents are  available for people to enjoy. Registry Woes

       We are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Home Depot.  Just recently we discovered that they have removed the option of finding our registry online at Home Depot. If you go into your local Home Depot store they won’t be able  find our registry, by name, unless you give them this gift event number 2684-272954 or  you tell them that we registered at the Worcestor location. We apologize for any inconvience this causes anyone.
